Job Overview:
The logistics-officer" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Officer will work in compliance with NRC's policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines. The primary function of this position is to assist in the implementation of logistics functions according to the action plan. The officer will be responsible for drafting reports on the progress of logistics activities as requested by the supervisor and ensuring the correct archiving of documents, both digitally and electronically. The officer is expected to encourage and propose improvements to the logistics function and implement approved logistics strategies at the country level. This role is crucial in ensuring that logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall mission of NRC in supporting displaced individuals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Officer will manage purchases according to established rules and procedures. They will be responsible for drafting reports related to procurement tracking, updating price lists, maintaining supplier registers, monitoring contracts, and tracking expenses related to fleet and internet services. The officer will also be responsible for the physical and electronic archiving of logistics documents in compliance with NRC's filing standards. They will support the Procurement Coordinator in market analysis, identify, anticipate, and manage supplier risks, participate in supplier evaluations, and update the supplier database. Additionally, the officer will perform any other tasks assigned by their supervisor, ensuring that all logistics operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Bacc + 3) in logistics or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with lower educational qualifications must have at least four years of experience in similar positions. Professional experience as an Officer or in a support role within a humanitarian context is essential. Candidates should have procurement skills and proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong written and communication skills in French are mandatory, while English is considered an asset. Proven results in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position are required, along with a good understanding of the social, economic, and legal context of North Kivu and Eastern DRC.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree (Bacc + 3) in logistics or a related field is required. For candidates with lower educational qualifications, a minimum of four years of relevant experience in similar roles is necessary.
