Job Overview: The National Project Officer will play a crucial role in the Extra Budgetary Project entitled 'Advancing Media and Information Literacy in Kosovo'. Duties and Responsibilities: The National Project Officer will be responsible for a wide range of duties including: coordinating the implementation of the ExB project, ensuring that project activities align with objectives; maintaining communication with MESTI representatives and project beneficiaries; drafting various reports including activity, technical, and progress reports; organizing meetings and events, including logistical arrangements; supporting communication strategies to enhance project visibility; monitoring budget implementation to ensure compliance with donor requirements; advising the Project Manager on project-related risks; and ensuring timely dissemination of project outputs. The officer will also be tasked with compiling information and developing knowledge products related to the project, ensuring that all documentation is archived appropriately and that project activities are reported accurately.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in political science, international affairs, media affairs, or a related field. A minimum of two years of professional-level experience in project management within the media sector, particularly focusing on media and information literacy, is required. Knowledge of the media environment in Kosovo is essential, along with excellent project management skills. Experience working on projects funded by multiple donors is highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and strong oral and written communication skills in English and at least one local language are mandatory. A valid 'B' category driving license is also required.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position is a bachelor's degree, which is defined as a first-level university degree or its equivalent in a relevant discipline such as political science, international affairs, or media affairs. Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in project management, specifically within the media sector.
