Job Overview:
The Project Assistant will play a crucial role in the Extra Budgetary Project entitled 'Advancing Media and Information Literacy in Kosovo'. This position is designed for a fixed-term appointment, lasting until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and will be responsible for coordinating various project activities, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders, and supporting the overall implementation of project objectives. The role requires a proactive approach to managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation, as well as engaging with external organizations and local stakeholders to facilitate project activities. The Project Assistant will also contribute to drafting reports and knowledge products, ensuring that all project outputs are disseminated effectively and in compliance with donor requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Assistant will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: maintaining contacts with other mission staff and external organizations to support project implementation; assisting in the design and execution of action plans and timelines; monitoring budget compliance with donor requirements; drafting various reports, including activity and progress reports; supporting the planning and organization of project-related activities and events; coordinating administrative arrangements for meetings and workshops; developing project databases; and managing communication strategies to enhance project visibility. The role also involves ensuring proper documentation and archiving of all relevant project materials, as well as supporting follow-up actions as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, supplemented by specialized training or formal studies in project management, social or political science, international affairs, media affairs, or a related discipline. A minimum of five years of relevant working experience with governmental, inter-governmental, or civil society organizations is required, preferably within the OSCE framework. Candidates should possess established knowledge of the Kosovo media environment and experience in managing projects funded by multiple donors. Proficiency in project cycle management and monitoring and evaluation practices is essential, along with strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and at least one local language are mandatory, and a valid driving license (B category) is required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), with additional specialized training or formal studies in relevant fields such as project management, social or political science, international affairs, or media affairs being highly desirable. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of project management and the media landscape in Kosovo.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in roles that involve project management, particularly in the media sector. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with governmental, inter-governmental, or civil society organizations, ideally within the OSCE context. Experience in managing projects funded by multiple donors and familiarity with project cycle management and evaluation processes are essential for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, along with proficiency in at least one local language. This bilingual capability is crucial for effective communication with various stakeholders, including local organizations and government representatives. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.

Additional Notes:
This position is a fixed-term contract with a full-time schedule, and the successful candidate will be expected to start as soon as possible. The monthly remuneration is set at 1,084.00 Euro, subject to social security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security deductions, and includes participation in the OSCE group medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
