Job Overview:
The internship for Disability Inclusion is designed to empower young individuals with disabilities living in Kosovo. This role is integral to the OSCE's mission of promoting human rights and enhancing the capacity of local communities. The intern will work closely with the Office of the Head of Mission (OHoM) and will be involved in various departments, providing a comprehensive understanding of the organization's operations. The primary goal of this internship is to develop and implement strategies that promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities within the Mission and across Kosovo. The intern will engage in a variety of tasks, including conducting research, advising on accessibility audits, and collaborating with different teams to integrate disability inclusion into ongoing projects. This position not only offers practical experience but also aims to foster personal and professional growth through a structured learning program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Intern for Disability Inclusion will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including: conducting a desk review of best practices for disability inclusion; creating a repository of relevant documents and standards; advising on the conduct of a disability audit in collaboration with the Head of Mission Office; working with the Learning and Development Team to enhance staff capacity for disability inclusion; organizing monthly lunch talks for staff; assisting in planning consultations with persons with disabilities; providing recommendations for incorporating insights into Mission projects; contributing to project documents related to disability rights strategies; collaborating with the Office of Political Affairs and Communications to promote disability rights on social media; and providing administrative support to the Front Office and Office of Central Coordination. The intern will also complete a final project that demonstrates their contributions and will present their findings to a Mission panel at the end of the internship.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet specific criteria to be eligible for this internship. Applicants should have a disability, be 30 years old or younger, and have completed at least two years at an accredited university or graduated no earlier than 202

• They should have relevant experience advocating for disability rights or volunteering with NGOs. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential, along with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this internship include having completed at least two years of study at an accredited university or having graduated from a relevant university course no earlier than 202

• Candidates with a first or advanced degree in fields pertinent to the OSCE's mandate are also eligible, provided they graduated within two years of the application deadline. This educational background ensures that interns possess the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the Mission's objectives.

Experience:
Candidates should have some experience related to disability rights advocacy, which may include volunteering or interning with NGOs or other institutions focused on similar issues. This experience is crucial as it demonstrates the candidate's commitment to promoting disability rights and their understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. The internship is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the field of human rights and disability inclusion.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the OSCE. Candidates should be able to speak and write in English at a good or excellent level. While not mandatory, knowledge of Albanian or Serbian would be considered an asset, as it would enhance the intern's ability to engage with local communities and stakeholders effectively.

Additional Notes:
This internship is a short-term position with a duration of six months, and it is a full-time role. The OSCE Mission in Kosovo is committed to inclusivity and accessibility, providing support to interns with disabilities to ensure they can perform their duties effectively. Instead of a salary, the organization may offer a contribution towards living costs for non-resident interns, equivalent to 10% of the applicable Board and Living Allowance. Health insurance will be provided through the Cigna scheme, and interns will have the opportunity to participate in language classes and other learning opportunities. It is important to note that this internship does not guarantee future employment with the OSCE.
