Job Overview:
The Transport Administrator position is a critical role within the Kosovo Forces Headquarters (KFOR HQ), specifically within the Transport Section. The primary responsibility of the Transport Administrator is to manage the operations of various sections, including Fleet Management and Administration, Dispatch and Transport, and the Light Aid Detachment (LAD). This position serves as the Executive Officer (XO) to the Transport Section Manager, coordinating daily operations, dispatch schedules, and vehicle assignments for transport missions conducted by HQ KFOR. The role requires a strong understanding of logistics and fleet management, as well as the ability to analyze and report on vehicle usage and operational efficiency. The Transport Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with NATO regulations regarding vehicle management and operations. This position is essential for ensuring that transport missions are executed smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of KFOR's mission in Kosovo.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Transport Administrator will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: managing the Transcoy database and operating the NATO Depot and Support System - Movement, Transport and Materiel (NDSS-MTM) database; planning daily transportation requests in collaboration with the Dispatch Office; serving as the XO for the Transport Section Manager; assigning personnel and vehicles for transport missions in support of HQ KFOR; coordinating and distributing functions to related sections of the Platoon; analyzing monthly vehicle usage, mileage, consumption, and expenditure, and providing associated reports; tracking accident reports and operational status; ensuring completion of all necessary administration, reports, and statistics for NATO-funded vehicles; maintaining custody of all vehicle files; promoting write-off analysis and annual acquisitions; ensuring efficient internal vehicle maintenance procedures; and acting as the Property Utilization Memorandum Receipt Account Holder (MRAH) for all vehicles and their assignments. Additionally, the Transport Administrator may be required to undertake operational deployments and/or temporary duty assignments both within and outside NATO's boundaries, and perform any other duties as directed by the HQ KFOR Transport Section.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Transport Administrator position must possess a Higher Secondary Education along with vocational training in auto mechanics, auto management, or a related field. A minimum of four years of experience managing a fleet or in a related logistics position is required. Candidates should also have mechanical experience or training in automotive vehicles and hold a national driving license. Desirable qualifications include previous working experience in a military environment, a logistics background in an international setting that includes both military and civilian elements, experience as a Transport Section Manager or Coordinator, familiarity with the LOG Filing System (FS) and/or NATO Depot & Support System (NDSS), experience with supply and storage in the transport field, advanced vocational training in auto mechanics or management, possession of a European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL), and completion of relevant logistics courses.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Transport Administrator position includes a Higher Secondary Education level, complemented by vocational training in fields such as auto mechanics, auto management, or related disciplines. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the technical aspects of vehicle management and logistics operations, which are critical to the role.

Experience:

Additional Notes:

The starting salary for the MCIV-4 grade is €5,926.00 per month, exempt from local taxation. Employment benefits include affiliation with a Group Medical Insurance Scheme, a 12% contribution to personal pension obligations, 30 days of annual leave, up to 7 special leave days, and up to 11 official/national holidays. An installation allowance equal to one month's salary is available for those opting to stay outside the camp, with conditions for reimbursement. A removal allowance equal to one month's salary is also provided after one year of consecutive service, unless covered by another source. Travel expenses for duty-related travel from/to the candidate's permanent residence will be reimbursed.
