Job Overview: The Online Volunteer position involves editing, proofreading, and formatting five technical knowledge products related to gender statistics and women's economic empowerment. Duties and Responsibilities:
Edit and proofread five technical knowledge products to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to UN Women’s editorial standards.
Perform final checks for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors across all documents.
Design cover pages for each document in line with Women Count branding guidelines.
Format Word documents into a publication layout that aligns with Women Count branding, ensuring a professional presentation of the materials.
Collaborate with the Women Count team to understand the context and objectives of each document, ensuring that the final products effectively communicate the intended messages.
Provide feedback on the content where necessary to enhance the overall quality and impact of the documents.
Required Qualifications:
Strong editing and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with UN Women’s editorial guidelines and style is preferred.
Experience in formatting documents for publication, particularly in a professional or academic context.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
