Job Overview:
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring effective reporting and monitoring of projects related to human security in Ukraine. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government officials, private sector representatives, and civil society organizations. The analyst will be responsible for developing and updating monitoring tools, conducting field visits to project sites, and producing reports on project progress and challenges. The role also involves providing technical support for new project development, ensuring adherence to UNDP policies, and promoting gender equality in all aspects of monitoring and evaluation. The analyst will be expected to utilize digital technologies for data collection and visualization, ensuring transparency and accountability in project management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Analyst include:
  • Developing a comprehensive Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) plan to ensure effective project implementation.
  • Creating and updating project monitoring tools such as forms and questionnaires.
  • Conducting field visits to project sites and preparing monitoring reports.
  • Coordinating with M&E focal persons to capture project progress.
  • Supporting project managers in designing results-based management frameworks.
  • Advocating for adherence to UNDP policies on monitoring and evaluation.
  • Performing data monitoring and analysis according to the project’s Results Framework.
  • Participating in annual project reviews and assisting in report preparation.
  • Ensuring gender equality is mainstreamed in M&E processes. 1
  • Organizing training sessions on M&E for staff members. 1
  • Performing other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in fields such as Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, Statistics, International Development, Sociology, or Social Science. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s Degree) combined with two years of relevant experience will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of Result Based Management (RBM) and experience in data collection and analysis, particularly in development or humanitarian contexts. Strong report writing skills and the ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders are essential.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant fields, or a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s Degree) with additional relevant experience. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of monitoring and evaluation in the context of development projects.

Experience:
Applicants with a Master’s degree are not required to have professional work experience, while those with a Bachelor’s degree must have at least two years of relevant professional experience in monitoring and evaluation. Experience in development or humanitarian contexts is preferred, along with skills in data management and analysis.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Ukrainian is required for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, but is not mandatory.
