Job Overview: The Technical Advisor (TA), Polio will provide strategic and technical leadership for the STRengthening Infectious Disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Activity, focusing on polio eradication-related surveillance, laboratory strengthening, and case detection in Indonesia. This role ensures that STRIDES polio activities align with global guidance, national policies, and donor regulations while delivering high-quality technical assistance across participating countries. The TA will oversee in-country implementation, troubleshoot challenges, and adapt interventions to evolving contexts. Additionally, the TA will support capacity strengthening and mentoring of local partners and government counterparts, ensuring alignment with U.S. Government global health security priorities. Duties and Responsibilities: The TA, Polio will be responsible for a variety of tasks including leading the creation and implementation of the technical portion of the STRIDES - Polio Activity plan, coordinating with technical and programmatic staff to ensure compliance with contract requirements, and supervising field staff and local consultants. They will provide technical direction and monitor the quality of work performed by local subcontractors, prepare budgets, and contribute to country-level planning. The TA will also develop strategies for the design and implementation of specific technical components, ensure high-quality implementation in line with global standards, and proactively identify risks to technical deliverables.
