Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position within the Executive Office of the Secretary-General (EOSG) is designed for motivated individuals who are eager to contribute to the UN's mission. Interns will be assigned to the Strategic Planning and Monitoring Unit (SPMU), where they will engage in strategic analysis, priority-setting, and resource alignment to support the Secretary-General's initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and gain insights into the workings of the UN System. Interns are expected to commit to a minimum of three months, ideally full-time, and will have the flexibility to work in-person, remotely, or in a hybrid capacity. The position allows interns to pursue meaningful projects that can lead to lasting impacts within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in various workstreams within the SPMU, each focusing on critical areas of UN operations. In the Strategic Coordination and Decision-Making workstream, interns will assist in preparing for senior-level management meetings and contribute to the development of analytical materials. In the UN 2.0 Capabilities workstream, they will support the planning and implementation of change management programs, including community management and digital solutions. The Risk, Fragility, and Crisis Management workstream will require interns to monitor global trends and assist in developing the Secretary-General's Global Risk Report. Lastly, in the Management Support workstream, interns will engage in analytics, resource mobilization, and event coordination, helping to create dashboards for data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the UN Internship Programme. They should either be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program (Master's degree or equivalent) or be in their final year of a Bachelor's degree program. Additionally, applicants should possess strong computer skills, a keen interest in the UN's work, and the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Desired qualifications vary by workstream, including organizational skills, analytical thinking, and proficiency in data analysis and digital tools.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship varies by workstream. For Strategic Coordination and Decision-Making, relevant fields include Economics, Political Science, and International Relations. For UN 2.0 Capabilities, candidates should have studies in Business, Data Science, or Behavioral Science. The Risk, Fragility, and Crisis Management workstream seeks candidates with backgrounds in Risk Management, Geography, or International Development. Lastly, Management Support requires knowledge in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or Finance.

Experience:
