Job Overview:
The Programme Partner Management Intern will work under the direct supervision of the Manager of the Programme Support Unit and the overall guidance of the Chief of Program Support Management Unit (PSMU) at headquarters. This role is crucial for promoting effective programme partner management oversight. The intern will contribute to the development of self-paced learning modules on Programme Partner Management Policies, Procedures, and Systems. Additionally, the intern will support the creation of reports and dashboards that will be utilized by clients, collaborating closely with various units within HQ and regional or country offices. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about UN Women’s implementation modalities and capacity strengthening initiatives, providing valuable insights into the organization's operations and strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include contributing to the development of self-paced learning modules on Programme Partner Management Policies, Procedures, and Systems. This involves reviewing existing training content, such as presentations and Quick Reference Guides, and designing new self-paced training materials that include certification upon completion. The intern will also utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and innovative approaches to enhance the learning modules, which will be hosted on the UN Women Training Centre website. Furthermore, the intern will interact with regional and country office PSMU Focal Points and Project Managers to ensure the modules are user-friendly and incorporate relevant examples and best practices. Another key responsibility will be to create reports and dashboards using existing UN Women applications, including Quantum (Oracle-based), PGAMS, Assurance Module, PRISM, and Power BI, among others.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English. A working knowledge of another UN language is considered an advantage. The intern should demonstrate familiarity with the structural design of training content and have analytical skills. Additionally, familiarity with applications such as CANVA and the use of AI tools for digital learning development is essential. The ability to verify AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and policy alignment is also required.

Educational Background:
Applicants must have university studies in one of the following disciplines: Educational Communication and Technology, Instructional Design, Public Administration/Public Policy, International Development, Business Administration, or other relevant subjects. Candidates must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); be in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); have graduated with a university degree and must commence the internship within a two-year period of graduation; or be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program that is part of a degree program and undertake the internship as part of the program requirements.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have relevant experience that aligns with the responsibilities of the internship. This may include prior internships, volunteer work, or academic projects that demonstrate the ability to contribute effectively to the development of training content and the use of analytical tools. Experience in working with international organizations or in a multicultural environment is also beneficial.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of another UN language is advantageous and may enhance the candidate's application.

Additional Notes:
The internship is designed to provide a stipend to interns who are not receiving financial support from other sources, such as universities or other institutions, to help cover basic living costs during the internship period.
