Job Overview:
The position of Online Volunteer for Secondary Data Review is designed to support the Data Team within the Policy and Programme Coherence Unit of UNDP Ukraine. The primary function of this role is to assist in the Secondary Data Review (SDR) process, which involves analyzing and tagging various analytical products according to a specified framework. Volunteers will engage in daily tasks that require them to search for relevant data, review materials, and ensure the accuracy of information. This role is crucial for informing decision-making processes within UNDP Ukraine's program management activities. Volunteers will be expected to dedicate 3-4 hours per day to this task, contributing to the creation of coherent analytical overviews based on secondary data.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteers will be responsible for several key tasks:
  • Conducting searches for relevant data, reports, and publications based on defined indicators.
  • Recording sources in a shared tracker, ensuring complete metadata for traceability and to prevent duplication.
  • Reviewing logged materials and tagging documents, web pages, and reports according to the provided Analytical Framework.
  • Verifying the accuracy and consistency of information during the review process, flagging any outdated or conflicting data for validation.
  • Translating essential findings from Ukrainian to English as necessary.
  • Editing and formatting outputs of the Secondary Data Review for clarity and consistency.
  • Providing reviewed and formatted content for internal knowledge products, including Biweekly Digests, Thematic Digests, and Community Profiles.
  • Participating in onboarding training and weekly e-meetings, and receiving regular feedback and support regarding the tasks.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with data analysis and research methodologies is essential. Volunteers should also demonstrate proficiency in using digital tools for data management and reporting.
