Job Overview: The Procurement Officer in Dnipro is responsible for the daily implementation of procurement functions, ensuring that the organization's activities are supported through effective procurement of necessary goods and services. Duties and Responsibilities: The Procurement Officer will have a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: ensuring adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements, implementing logistic functions according to the Plan of Action, conducting daily operational procurement activities, preparing procurement reports, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Specific responsibilities include consulting with program and support staff to generate purchase requests (PRs), participating in project planning, managing purchase documentation, attending procurement committee meetings, maintaining a vendor database, and conducting supplier due diligence. The officer will also support contract management for suppliers, conduct analyses of procurement activities, and report any potential fraud cases. Additional duties may be assigned by the line manager as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in procurement, with a strong understanding of contract management and the procurement process. Experience in humanitarian contexts and working with implementing partners is highly desirable. Proficiency in Office software, particularly Word and Excel, is required. The candidate should also have a basic understanding of the operational context in the areas where the organization operates, as well as documented results related to the responsibilities of the position.
