Job Overview:
The HA and DRR Programme Associate will play a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of effective programs aligned with UN Women's rules and regulations. This position involves providing operational, administrative, and programmatic support to the Programme Team, ensuring that the initiatives aimed at improving security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">human security and resilience to climate-induced disasters are effectively managed. The associate will work closely with various stakeholders, including country offices and regional offices, to resolve complex finance-related issues and facilitate the exchange of information necessary for program success. The role is crucial in enhancing access to resilient livelihoods and integrating gender considerations into disaster risk management frameworks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of the HA and DRR Programme Associate include providing advanced administrative and logistical support for program formulation and management, such as preparing work plans, budgets, and proposals. The associate will also coordinate the collection of information for audits, contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, and review program data to inform project delivery. Financial management responsibilities include creating projects in the Quantum system, monitoring budgets, preparing reports, and maintaining internal expenditure controls. The associate will oversee logistical arrangements for meetings and events, support resource mobilization efforts, and facilitate knowledge sharing and training for stakeholders. Additionally, the incumbent will perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of secondary education, with a Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Disaster Risk Management, Climate Change, or humanitarian action being required. A program management certification is desirable. The position requires strong knowledge of program management, excellent financial and budgeting skills, and the ability to synthesize and present information clearly. Proficiency in administrative processes and transactions is essential, along with the capability to manage data and workflow effectively.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes the completion of secondary education as a minimum, with a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Gender Studies, Disaster Risk Management, Climate Change, or humanitarian action being mandatory. A program management certification is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
The position requires at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in administration or program management/support. Candidates should have experience in supporting a team and using a modern web-based ERP system. Familiarity with multiple office software packages is desirable, indicating a well-rounded experience in a computer environment.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language, such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is considered desirable and may enhance the candidate's profile.
