Job Overview:
The Field Office Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the Area office in Gaza. This position is responsible for ensuring that NRC's policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to, while also facilitating communication and collaboration between NRC and local stakeholders. The coordinator will be a member of the Area Management Group (AMG) and will provide input on operational support to align with the Area Strategy. The role requires a proactive approach to managing the operational environment, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining effective relationships with external partners. The coordinator will also be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the operational context, humanitarian needs, and access constraints to support uninterrupted program delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Office Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including managing NRC's external operating environment in Gaza, ensuring regulatory compliance, and engaging with local authorities and UN systems. Specific duties include providing timely analysis and updates on the operational context, maintaining relationships with local authorities, preparing reports related to authorities, monitoring procedural developments, facilitating administrative processes for Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), representing NRC in external meetings, participating in humanitarian coordination mechanisms, and ensuring accurate documentation and archiving of correspondence. The coordinator will also support the Area Manager in facilitating access to affected populations and managing relationships with key stakeholders, as well as contributing to the Gaza Area security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Risk Assessment and providing operational recommendations for improving NRC's effectiveness and safety.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Field Office Coordinator position must possess a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in leadership and liaison functions. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are essential, along with documented results related to the responsibilities of the position. Candidates should also have experience working in complex and volatile contexts, demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Fluency in both English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is mandatory for this role.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree is required for the Field Office Coordinator position. This educational background should ideally be complemented by relevant training or certifications that enhance the candidate's ability to perform the duties associated with the role.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least three years of relevant experience, particularly in roles that involve leadership, operational management, and liaison with various stakeholders. Experience in similar positions within other organizations will be considered an asset, as it demonstrates familiarity with the challenges and dynamics of humanitarian work in complex environments.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position, as effective communication with local authorities, stakeholders, and team members is critical. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered advantageous but is not required.

The role is classified as Grade (07) Step (01), with salary and benefits determined based on the Gaza Duty Station.
