Job Overview: The position of Data & Estimation Support- Sub National Growth Model is aimed at providing consultancy services to support the development of a sub-national growth model. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing data and providing estimations that will inform policy decisions and development strategies at the sub-national level. This role requires a deep understanding of economic modeling and data analysis, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. The consultant will work closely with UNDP teams and local partners to ensure that the growth model is tailored to the specific needs and context of the region.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive data analysis to inform the sub-national growth model.
Develop estimation methodologies that are robust and applicable to the local context.
Collaborate with local stakeholders to gather relevant data and insights.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations that summarize findings and recommendations.
Provide technical support and guidance to UNDP teams in the implementation of the growth model.
Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with UNDP standards and timelines.
Participate in meetings and workshops to present findings and gather feedback.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of economic modeling. Proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools is essential. Additionally, candidates should have experience working with government or international organizations in a similar capacity. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field is required. Candidates with a PhD in a relevant discipline will be given preference. Additional certifications in data analysis or economic modeling will be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, economic modeling, or related fields is required. Experience working with international organizations or in a consultancy role is highly desirable. Familiarity with sub-national development issues in Pakistan will be an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Urdu or other local languages will be considered a plus, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This position is for an individual contractor and is expected to be a full-time engagement. The contract duration will be specified in the terms of reference. The consultant will be required to submit their proposal through the UNDP Supplier Portal, and any inquiries regarding the tender must be submitted in writing through the portal's messaging functionality. The deadline for proposal submission is set for January 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM New York time.
