Duties and Responsibilities: The Counsellor will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: assisting in the planning and organization of AVRR counselling services; visiting and counselling migrants in designated areas; providing information on relief offers and governmental support; maintaining accurate records of all activities and contacts; supporting project reporting and monitoring; collaborating with other migration counselling organizations; organizing meetings and events for migration actors; and developing strategies to inform target groups about voluntary return options. The role may also involve acting as a replacement for team members when necessary and performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a completed High School degree from an accredited institution with four years of relevant professional experience in migration, or a University degree in Social Work, Social Science, Social Pedagogics, or a related field with up to two years of relevant experience. Experience in counselling within a social context, particularly in migration, is essential. Familiarity with vulnerable groups and knowledge of the AVRR landscape in Germany are advantageous. Previous work with public bodies and experience in implementing AVRR activities will be considered an asset.
