Job Overview:
The position of Online Volunteer for Graphic Design within UNDP Brazil's Human Resources Unit involves developing a creative and engaging layout/template package that will be utilized across various thematic communication channels, particularly for internal audiences such as UNDP employees within the country office. This role is aligned with UNDP's People for 2030 Strategy and its visual identity. The primary focus of the communication will revolve around key HR themes, including learning and development, career management, health and wellbeing, finance/payroll, recruitment and selection, contract management, safety and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, surveys, teambuilding, and general announcements. The materials produced will be essential for the HR team to communicate HR-related information in a clear, practical, and accessible manner. The layout should be versatile enough to allow for the insertion and editing of various components such as links, photos, images, text, and columns. The contributions of the Online Volunteer will play a crucial role in modernizing the visual identity of the HR Unit and standardizing communication layouts to enhance employee engagement and understanding of HR-related content.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteer will be responsible for several key tasks under the guidance of the HR Assistant. These tasks include:
  • Collecting information on document and material background, including understanding the target audience, design style preferences, and branding guidelines.
  • Creating draft designs based on the requirements gathered and discussing these drafts with the focal point to ensure alignment with expectations.
  • Developing the final designs and templates according to the agreed-upon requirements, ensuring that all designs adhere to UNDP's corporate design guidelines, which will be provided in advance. The volunteer will need to be proactive in seeking feedback and making necessary adjustments to the designs to meet the needs of the HR Unit effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should possess a strong understanding of graphic design principles and practices. They should be proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools. Additionally, a good eye for aesthetics and attention to detail are essential. The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members is also important. Familiarity with UNDP's mission and values, as well as an understanding of HR-related themes, will be advantageous.

Educational Background:
A background in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should ideally have completed or be pursuing a degree in design or a similar discipline. Relevant coursework or certifications in graphic design will be beneficial.

Experience:
While prior experience in graphic design is preferred, it is not strictly required.
