Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Participating in the development of project documents from inception to closure, including planning documents and work plans.
• Developing detailed annual work and budget plans based on the approved overall work plan.
• Creating schedules for project activities to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
• Preparing project progress and financial reports in accordance with FAO and donor procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Collecting and maintaining records on project deliverables.
• Engaging in continuous dialogue with project execution partners to monitor progress and quality of deliverables.
• Participating in field visits and workshops to evaluate project activities.
• Coordinating technical activities with project and program teams.
• Leading capacity-building initiatives targeting women and youth. 1

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an Advanced University Degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO. Those with a Bachelor's degree must have two additional years of relevant professional experience. Additionally, candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in project management and/or agricultural development specifically within Caribbean countries. A working knowledge (level C) of English is mandatory.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an Advanced University Degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have additional professional experience to qualify. The educational institution must be recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO, ensuring that the degree meets international standards.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management and/or agricultural development, particularly in Caribbean countries. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in the agriculture sector and experience in value chain development. Familiarity with working alongside various partners and experts to implement project activities is essential.

Languages:
A working knowledge of English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, having limited knowledge of one of the other FAO languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a multilingual environment.
