Job Overview:
The Senior Mobile Developer - React Native position at UNRWA involves leading the development of high-quality mobile applications using React Native. The role requires close collaboration with UI designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure that applications are built to meet user needs and adhere to coding standards. The incumbent will guide the entire app lifecycle from planning through development and deployment, ensuring that all mobile features are architected for enterprise-level scalability. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Mobile Developer include leading the development of high-quality React Native mobile applications, collaborating with UI designers, project managers, and developers, guiding all stages of the app lifecycle, ensuring adherence to coding standards, performing code reviews, and defining acceptance criteria. The developer will integrate mobile development with backend and web React components, architect mobile features for scalability, maintain alignment with Agile and Scrum methodologies, conduct thorough testing, document technical specifications, mentor junior developers, and support team collaboration. Additional responsibilities may include performing other duties as required by the organization.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a university degree or master's degree from an accredited institution in fields such as information technology, information management, information systems, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, business administration, management, or related disciplines. The candidate must possess strong technical skills, particularly in React Native development, JavaScript, ES6, TypeScript, React, and Redux. Experience with REST APIs, third-party library integration, OOP and SOLID principles, CI/CD pipelines, and mobile deployment best practices is essential. The candidate should also have experience in defining standards, conducting code reviews, and guiding development teams, along with a demonstrable portfolio of released applications on app stores.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a university degree or master's degree in relevant fields such as information technology, information management, information systems, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, business administration, or management. This educational background is crucial for understanding the technical and managerial aspects of mobile app development.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in mobile app development is required for candidates with a bachelor's degree, while those with a master's degree should have at least 4 years of relevant experience. The candidate must have senior-level React Native development experience of 5+ years and strong expertise in JavaScript, ES6, TypeScript, React, and Redux. Experience with REST APIs, third-party library integration, and CI/CD pipelines is also necessary, along with a proven track record of app development in both solo and team environments.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory for this position. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration within a diverse team and for producing clear written documentation.

Additional Notes:
The consultancy duration is expected to be between 6 to 11 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability of funds. The remuneration for this consultancy is set at USD 1,592.60, plus an 8.33% advanced termination indemnity, contingent on fund availability, qualifications, and relevant experience. UNRWA emphasizes that it does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process, ensuring a transparent and fair hiring process.
