Job Overview: The Learning and Advocacy Analyst position is integral to the planning and execution of the Peace Is Campaign, which aims to promote women's roles in peace and security. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating Peace Is summits and regional consultations, ensuring effective collaboration with various stakeholders, including academic partners, civil society organizations, and member states. This role requires a proactive approach to advocacy and partnership building, as well as the ability to integrate campaign outputs into broader initiatives like the Global Women’s Peace Forum. The Learning and Advocacy Analyst will also support monitoring and evaluation efforts for the campaign, ensuring that data is systematically collected and analyzed to inform future actions. This position demands strong organizational skills, creativity in problem-solving, and a commitment to gender equality and women's empowerment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the implementation of Peace Is Summits and Regional Activities, including planning and executing at least two regional initiatives and supporting the organization of two Peace Is All of Us Summits.
Engage in general advocacy for the Peace Is Campaign, fostering partnerships with academic institutions and identifying opportunities for collaboration with the WPHF Global Learning Hub.
Support the development and implementation of the Global Women’s Peace Forum by collaborating with the Coordination Specialist/Special Assistant to finalize the GWPF Concept Note and budget, and coordinating outreach to civil society organizations and key stakeholders.
Assist in monitoring and evaluation efforts for the Peace Is Campaign by developing an M&E matrix, collecting data, and drafting summary reports that highlight key outcomes.
Support the WPHF Global Learning Hub by developing new courses, coordinating mentorship schemes, and managing the database of members.
Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs.
Required Qualifications:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in Political Science, Law, Social Science, Economics, International Development Studies, Gender/Women's Studies, or a related field is required.
A Bachelor's degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience at the international level in capacity building for projects/programmes.
Experience working with NGOs or grassroots civil society organizations is essential.
Familiarity with learning methods and management of web-based platforms is required, while experience with small grants management is an asset.
Experience supporting the implementation of advocacy campaigns is preferred, and international experience is desired.
