The intern will work closely with the Mental Health Strategy Implementation Lead and will be involved in various tasks aimed at supporting the mental health and wellbeing initiatives of the United Nations. The intern will be expected to engage with different stakeholders, assist in the preparation of materials for presentations, and help maintain accurate records related to mental health strategies. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Updating and maintaining the mental health strategy SharePoint records and files, ensuring that all information is accurate and kept confidential.
Preparing materials for presentations for the mental health strategy team, which may involve creating slides, reports, and other documentation.
Compiling content for the Healthy Workforce platform and website, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely updates.
Supporting the mental health strategy team in editing technical documents, tracking changes, and ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications.
Assisting in the coordination and launch of mental health stigma-reduction events, working alongside the mental health strategy project manager and other stakeholders.
Creating a repository of best practices for enhancing engagement with workplace mental health, which will serve as a resource for the Secretariat.
Attending mental health strategy meetings and summarizing discussions and outcomes to support ongoing initiatives and decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent). A background or exposure to human resources, psychology, public administration, or related fields is desirable. While professional work experience is not required for this internship, applicants must have a field of study closely related to the internship they are applying for. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in standard software applications, particularly MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Teams.
Educational Background: Candidates must be students in the final year of their first university degree (bachelor's or equivalent), or enrolled in or have completed a Master's or Ph.D. program. This educational requirement ensures that interns have a solid academic foundation relevant to the tasks they will undertake during their internship. Proof of enrollment or completion of the required educational program must be provided with the application.
