Job Overview: The Consultant for Women’s Economic Empowerment will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of two key programs: the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Corporate Action Lab and the Link Women Indonesia project. The WEPs Corporate Action Lab aims to strengthen business practices that promote gender equality and women's economic empowerment by providing a collaborative platform for companies to develop gender-responsive policies. The Consultant will facilitate the onboarding process for participants, assist in training delivery, and support regular reporting and strategy development. The Link Women project, launched in partnership with LinkedIn, focuses on enhancing women's pre-employment and digital skills to increase their access to employment. The Consultant will coordinate activities, ensure quality assurance, and document program progress. Overall, the role requires a proactive approach to partnership building and effective communication with various stakeholders to ensure the success of these initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Consultant will undertake a variety of tasks, including:
Supporting the implementation of the WEPs Corporate Action Lab by facilitating participant registration and onboarding, delivering training sessions, and assisting with reporting.
Coordinating the Link Women Indonesia project, including working with service providers to develop training platforms and organizing events.
Engaging with UN Women’s networks to ensure inclusivity in design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design.
Collecting and documenting human impact stories and best practices for visibility and advocacy.
Building and maintaining partnerships with government, donors, and the private sector to promote women's economic empowerment.
Supporting capacity-building activities for women entrepreneurs and youth groups involved in related programs.
Preparing logistical arrangements for events and ensuring effective communication and reporting on program progress.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a secondary education as a minimum requirement, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, International Relations, Economics, or a related field being highly desirable. The role requires strong experience in program development and management, particularly in the context of women's empowerment and gender equality. Familiarity with project management principles, engagement with private sectors, and experience in youth engagement programs are also essential. Knowledge of human-centered design and previous experience in the UN system will be considered advantageous. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes at least a secondary education, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Business, Public Administration, International Relations, or Economics. While a secondary education is mandatory, a higher degree is viewed favorably and can enhance a candidate's suitability for the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 7 years of professional experience for candidates with a high school diploma or 4 years for those with a Bachelor’s degree.
