Job Overview: In the role of Information Management Officer, you will be tasked with the critical responsibility of managing, analyzing, and disseminating data related to DRC's programming activities and its population of concern. The primary objective is to ensure the provision of reliable, high-quality, and comprehensive information that underpins an evidence-based humanitarian response. This position requires a strong focus on data integrity and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that can inform decision-making processes. You will be expected to maintain and manage an online database for DRC's beneficiaries, implement user-friendly features such as dashboards, and architect efficient front-end systems that support complex web applications. Collaboration with various departments will be essential to enhance the product based on feedback, and you will also be responsible for identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues. Additionally, you will conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns, support team leaders with technical applications of the database, and provide training to colleagues on database usage. Your role will also involve generating monitoring reports, performing data quality checks, and ensuring that all beneficiary information is consolidated and up-to-date.
Duties and Responsibilities: As an Information Management Officer, your duties will include: maintaining and managing the online database for DRC's beneficiaries; implementing features and user interfaces such as dashboards; architecting efficient and reusable front-end systems; collaborating with other departments to improve products based on feedback; identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues; developing scripts using TypeScript for data updates or migrations; conducting data analysis to identify trends and patterns; supporting team leaders in the technical application of the database; providing training for colleagues on database usage; generating monitoring reports; performing backup operations; contributing to the formatting and development of documents regarding collected data; conducting weekly data quality checks and reporting issues; ensuring beneficiary information is consolidated and up-to-date; identifying missing data and following up with team leaders; providing beneficiary lists and data for monitoring activities; applying data program techniques and procedures; and ensuring data protection and confidentiality in line with DRC's Information Management SoPs.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this position, you must possess a university degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a relevant field. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages. Proficiency in TypeScript, including knowledge of generic, asynchronous, and functional programming concepts, is essential. Experience with KoBo or other ODK-based applications, React, and RESTful APIs is also required. You should have an advanced level of English proficiency and fluency in Ukrainian, along with strong skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Proven abilities in data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as effective communication skills, are crucial. Familiarity with ArcGIS/ESRI software will be considered an advantage.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, or Social Sciences. This educational foundation is essential to ensure that the candidate possesses the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage and analyze data within the context of humanitarian programming.

Languages: The mandatory languages for this position include advanced English and fluency in Ukrainian. Additional language skills may be considered beneficial but are not required.
Additional Notes: This position offers a contract length that includes a 3-month probation period, with the possibility of extension up to November 2026, contingent on performance results. The designation of the duty station is Kyiv, and the start date is as soon as possible. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Danish Refugee Council's Terms of Employment for national employees.
