Job Overview: The UNV Information Management Officer position is designed to enhance the data management, monitoring, reporting, and visualization processes within the UNDP ABR team. This role is critical in ensuring that the data systems are maintained and improved, enabling effective use of data tools by colleagues. The officer will contribute to evidence-based analysis and reporting, which are essential for informed programming and policy planning. The position requires a proactive approach to technical support for existing reporting systems, as well as the development of new systems as necessary. The officer will also play a significant role in data collection and analysis, ensuring that the information gathered aligns with both local needs and national recovery priorities. This position is vital for maintaining high-quality data management practices that support the overall objectives of UNDP in Ukraine, particularly in the context of ongoing recovery efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The UNV Information Management Officer will undertake a variety of tasks, including: providing technical support to existing reporting systems, guiding colleagues on data entry and system use, monitoring data submission, conducting data quality checks, and supporting administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration. The officer will also contribute to the development of new reporting systems, maintain and update team dashboards, and assist in organizing data collection and analysis for research projects. Preparing reports based on up-to-date results from reporting systems, supporting in-depth assessments, and creating visual presentations of findings are also key responsibilities. The officer will generate and update relevant indicators for planning and monitoring, develop data collection tools, archive database systems, and ensure database security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security. Additionally, the officer will provide capacity-building support for UNDP staff and local authorities, enhance interagency information sharing, and document lessons learned to improve team effectiveness.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the UNV Information Management Officer position should possess a strong background in information management, data analysis, and reporting. They should have experience with data management systems and tools, as well as a solid understanding of monitoring and evaluation processes. Technical proficiency in data visualization techniques and software is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to ethical practices in data management. Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for the UNV Information Management Officer position. Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication and collaboration with local stakeholders and partners. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, depending on the specific needs of the role.
Additional Notes: This is a remote volunteer assignment, and the UN volunteer is responsible for organizing their own accommodation. The contract is full-time and lasts for the duration indicated in the vacancy, with the possibility of extensions based on funding availability and performance. The position offers a Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of USD 1587 per month, along with a one-time entry lump sum payment of USD 40
Medical and life insurance coverage is provided for the duration of the assignment. UN Volunteers accrue annual leave and are entitled to sick leave, with specific provisions for learning leave as well.
