Job Overview: The position of Especialista en Diseño Gráfico is crucial for the UNDP's procurement process, specifically as an individual contractor. The role involves creating visually appealing designs that effectively communicate the UNDP's messages and initiatives. The contractor will be expected to work remotely for a period of six months, contributing to various projects that require graphic design expertise. This position demands a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams within the organization. The contractor will be responsible for understanding the needs of the projects and translating them into compelling visual content that aligns with UNDP's branding and communication strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and design graphic materials for various UNDP projects, including brochures, reports, presentations, and social media content.
Collaborate with project teams to understand their design needs and provide creative solutions.
Ensure all designs adhere to UNDP branding guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.
Revise designs based on feedback from stakeholders and make necessary adjustments to meet project requirements.
Stay updated on design trends and best practices to continuously improve the quality of work produced.
Provide support in the preparation of visual presentations for meetings and events.
Assist in the development of promotional materials for UNDP initiatives and campaigns.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of UNDP's mission and values is an advantage.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in design software or related areas will be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design is required. Experience working with international organizations or in a development context is preferred.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the primary language of communication will be Spanish. Proficiency in English is a plus, as it may be required for certain projects and communications.
Additional Notes: This is a remote position for a contract duration of six months. The contractor will work as an individual contractor under the procurement process of UNDP. The position is part-time, and the contractor will be expected to manage their own schedule to meet project deadlines. Compensation details will be discussed during the selection process.
