Job Overview: The Programme Support Associate (School Feeding) position at WFP is crucial for the effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of school feeding and related activities within the Egypt country office. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Programme Policy Officer (School Meals) and will be responsible for providing technical, operational, and administrative support to ensure that school feeding initiatives align with WFP’s corporate frameworks and national priorities. This role is integral to the successful delivery of assistance to vulnerable populations, particularly in the context of Egypt's National School Feeding Programme. The incumbent will also play a key role in capacity building efforts for WFP staff and partners, ensuring that the school feeding programs are effectively implemented and monitored.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Support Associate (School Feeding) include:
Providing technical support and assisting in the development and implementation of school feeding activities, ensuring alignment with WFP policies and national priorities.
Offering specialized project management support to ensure that activities are performed within established targets and adhere to WFP’s policies and procedures.
Preparing reports and conducting data analysis related to food assistance needs, resource utilization, and program performance, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
Ensuring accurate and timely recording of data within the school feeding technical area, including assistance programs and food security assessments.
Liaising with internal and external counterparts to facilitate collaboration and effective monitoring of school feeding activities.
Ensuring compliance with donor guidelines, organizational policies, and local regulations.
Coordinating with local partners, NGOs, and government institutions to conduct food security analyses and ensure efficient food assistance delivery.
Supporting the capacity building of WFP staff and partners in the technical area of school feeding.
Acting as a point of contact for resolving operational queries and problems. 1

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Programme Support Associate (School Feeding) position include a Bachelor’s degree in development studies, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Education, Nutrition, or a related field relevant to international development assistance. Experience: A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in program or project implementation is required, preferably within international development organizations. Experience in school feeding, education, nutrition, or food assistance operations is highly desirable. Candidates should have a proven track record of monitoring and supervising field-level activities, including partner performance and beneficiary feedback mechanisms.
Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic, both oral and written, is required for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, but English and Arabic are mandatory for effective communication within the organization and with stakeholders.
