Job Overview:
The Divisional Projects Team Leader is a pivotal role within the IAEA's Department of Safeguards, which functions as the global nuclear inspectorate. This position involves managing a team that provides third-level support for complex service requests related to divisional projects. The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of technical services, project management support, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires a blend of management, technical expertise, and leadership skills to guide the team in achieving its objectives. The Team Leader will also serve as an adviser to other leaders within the organization, contributing to the development of innovative solutions and ensuring that the team operates effectively within the framework of IAEA's safeguards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Divisional Projects Team Leader will manage a team of engineers, specialists, and technicians, ensuring the effective planning, tracking, and delivery of divisional projects. Key responsibilities include establishing clear work objectives, monitoring workloads, and managing performance. The Team Leader will lead knowledge sharing initiatives, analyze technology needs for safeguards implementation, and develop requirement specifications for various projects. Additionally, the role involves planning and controlling technical projects using formal project management methodologies, continuously improving service provision, and fostering a respectful workplace environment. The Team Leader will also be responsible for managing internal communications and promoting collaboration across teams and divisions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in physics, engineering, or a related technical field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree. A minimum of ten years of relevant working experience is required, including supervisory or management experience and managing complex technical projects. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, such as PRINCE2 or PMI, is essential. Knowledge of Quality Management principles is also required, along with experience in implementing safeguards systems and technologies.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (Master's Degree) in physics, engineering, or another related technical field. Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field may be considered if they have two additional years of relevant working experience. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of the role and for effectively managing projects within the IAEA's safeguards framework.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of ten years of relevant working experience, particularly in areas outlined in the expertise section of the job description. The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $101,540, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance.
