Job Overview:
The Project Manager position is integral to the Digital Legal Aid in Bangladesh project, which aims to enhance access to gender-sensitive legal aid services for marginalized communities. The Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring that it aligns with sustainable development principles and UNDP's strategic frameworks. This role involves providing technical and managerial oversight, building partnerships, and mobilizing resources to achieve the project's objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities, ensuring timely delivery of results and adherence to the approved Project Document. The Project Manager will also engage with stakeholders, facilitate policy dialogue, and promote advocacy for gender equality and human rights.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will lead the strategic planning and implementation of the project, ensuring that all activities are executed according to the project document. Key responsibilities include developing detailed project work-plans, monitoring progress, managing project risks, and ensuring compliance with UNDP's financial and administrative processes. The Project Manager will organize and facilitate meetings related to project management and the Project Board, track recommendations, and maintain communication with stakeholders. Additionally, the incumbent will manage project finances, supervise staff and consultants, and ensure effective coordination with government counterparts and development partners. The role emphasizes building inclusive partnerships, knowledge management, and aligning project interventions with UN values. The Project Manager will also be responsible for preparing progress reports, maintaining collaborative relationships with partners, and promoting advocacy on development trends.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's Degree or equivalent) in Law, Public Administration, Development Studies, Governance, Public Policy, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) combined with two additional years of qualifying experience will be considered. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree or 4 years with a Bachelor's degree in the specified fields. Substantive expertise in e-governance project management, resource management, and financial reporting is essential. Desired qualifications include experience in the legal or judicial field, familiarity with international organizations, and proven project monitoring and reporting skills.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (Master's Degree or equivalent) in Law, Public Administration, Development Studies, Governance, Public Policy, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) in the mentioned areas, combined with additional qualifying experience, will also be considered. This educational background ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage the project and contribute to its objectives.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Master's degree or 4 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Candidates should have experience in Law, Public Administration, Development Studies, Governance, Public Policy, or a related discipline. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate substantive expertise in e-governance project management, resource management, and financial reporting. Experience working with international organizations, government agencies, and in project monitoring and reporting is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English and Bengali is required for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication with stakeholders, reporting, and ensuring that project activities are accessible to all community members, particularly marginalized groups.
