Job Overview:
The consultant will work under the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist and will be responsible for providing simultaneous or consecutive interpretation services from Myanmar to English and vice versa during various activities. Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the consultant include providing consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services, which may also involve translation in chat boxes during virtual workshops and meetings. The consultant will be expected to maintain impartiality and confidentiality throughout the interpretation process, ensuring that all communications are accurately conveyed without bias. The role requires linguistic agility in both English and Myanmar languages, and the consultant must demonstrate ethical behavior and responsibility in all interactions. Required Qualifications:

Additionally, candidates should have a solid understanding of Programme management, Results Based Management, CEDAW, Gender and Development, Women, Peace and Security, as well as migration and humanitarian terminologies, which are crucial for effective interpretation in this context.

Fluency in both English and Myanmar languages is mandatory for this position. Candidates should possess linguistic agility, allowing them to navigate complex discussions and ensure accurate communication between the two languages.
