Job Overview:
The Content Review & Translation Volunteers will play a crucial role in enhancing the GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) Uzbekistan multilingual website, which serves as a vital platform for environmental knowledge sharing and community outreach. The website currently features three language versions—Uzbek, Russian, and English—that are not fully synchronized, leading to inconsistencies in terminology, incomplete sections, and varying user experiences. The volunteers will work collaboratively to align, proofread, and update the multilingual content, ensuring consistency, readability, and inclusiveness. This effort is essential for improving the accessibility of environmental and climate adaptation knowledge for local communities and project implementers across Uzbekistan's diverse linguistic landscape. The volunteers will be part of the Tech Volunteers for Resilience (Tech4R) programme, which mobilizes skilled digital volunteers to co-develop open-source solutions that strengthen resilience, recovery, and sustainable development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The volunteers will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at improving the multilingual content of the GEF SGP Uzbekistan website. Their duties will include: reviewing and aligning website content across the Uzbek, Russian, and English versions; proofreading and editing text to ensure accurate and consistent translation; verifying terminology and ensuring coherence between language versions; identifying and filling missing sections or misaligned links across pages; supporting the upload and organization of multimedia materials, including photos, articles, and project results; and collaborating with web editors and the accessibility team to ensure that all language versions meet usability and inclusivity standards. These responsibilities are critical for ensuring that the website serves as an effective resource for environmental knowledge sharing.
