Job Overview: The Senior Officer position is crucial for the effective functioning of the team and the Regional Office (RO). This role involves providing comprehensive administrative and budget-related support to team members, facilitating communication with colleagues across the Bank, and engaging with external clients and institutions. The Senior Officer is expected to manage various administrative tasks, including the preparation and editing of internal documents for submission to the Bank's committees, handling correspondence, and maintaining data accuracy in EBRD-specific applications. Additionally, the role includes coordinating meetings, managing travel arrangements, and overseeing consultant contracts. The Senior Officer will also play a key role in budget management, ensuring compliance with the Bank's procedures, and reporting on the department's progress. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and ensuring that departmental outputs are up to date and effective.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Officer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: assisting with the preparation and editing of internal documents for Bank committees, managing internal and external correspondence, acting as IT Coordinator and Records Management Coordinator, maintaining data accuracy in EBRD applications, coordinating facilities and technical assistance for meetings, arranging travel according to EBRD policy, managing diaries and scheduling meetings, processing consultant contracts, monitoring and managing the budget, reporting on departmental achievements, conducting internet-based research, and assisting with the production of reports and presentations. The role may also involve acting as a visa coordinator and liaising with the UN regarding security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security-clearance" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security clearance and safety-related documents.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Senior Officer position should possess a degree or equivalent business experience. While a recognized secretarial or business qualification is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with knowledge of another language being advantageous. Additionally, candidates should have strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills, as well as a self-motivated attitude and the ability to work independently. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this role, along with a good level of numeracy and proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
Educational Background: The educational background required for the Senior Officer position includes a degree in a relevant field or equivalent business experience.
