Job Overview: The Atlas Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the operational planning, implementation, and monitoring of Atlas Logistique's strategies in Gaza. This position involves overseeing both storage and transportation components of humanitarian projects, ensuring that all activities align with established standards and procedures. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing existing storage capacities, providing logistics support to humanitarian actors, and integrating temperature-controlled structures for sensitive humanitarian inputs. The role requires close collaboration with various departments, including logistics, HR, finance, and technical teams, to ensure optimal quality and effectiveness of the implemented projects. The Project Manager will also be tasked with data management, project reporting, and maintaining relationships with partner organizations, contributing to the overall success of humanitarian efforts in the region.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Atlas Project Manager include:
Operational Implementation: Ensuring project activities are planned and executed in accordance with established standards, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with internal quality standards.
Data Management: Implementing appropriate data collection tools, managing project databases, and ensuring accurate reporting of results and indicators.
Logistics Services: Ensuring compliance with technical and operational frameworks for storage and transport services, monitoring and improving processes, and providing technical training to project staff and partners.
Team Management: Line-managing the Atlas Logistique team, setting objectives, assessing performance, and contributing to staff development.
Communication and Representation: Representing the organization in coordination bodies, communicating project developments to stakeholders, and contributing to external influence efforts.
Strategic Development: Providing input for the design of operational strategies and project proposals for future initiatives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in project management, transport-logistics, production management, purchasing, or supply chain management. They should have at least three years of experience in project management, preferably in conflict areas with volatile security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security contexts. Strong knowledge of the logistics chain, stock management, and budget management is essential. Candidates must also possess managerial skills and the ability to work under pressure, demonstrating practical, dynamic, and solution-oriented approaches. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are also required.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in relevant fields such as project management, transport-logistics, production management, purchasing, or supply chain management. This advanced education is crucial for understanding the complexities of managing logistics in humanitarian contexts and ensuring effective project implementation.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of three years of experience in project management, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in conflict-affected areas. Experience in managing logistics chains, understanding documentary and information flows, and stock management is essential. Candidates should also have demonstrated managerial skills and experience in budget management, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure in challenging environments.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with external stakeholders. Proficiency in Arabic is considered a plus, as it would enhance communication with local partners and stakeholders in Gaza.

The contract includes various benefits such as social coverage, unemployment insurance for EU nationals, a pension scheme, and medical coverage with a 50% employee contribution. The salary starts at €2450 gross per month, with additional per diem and hardship allowances depending on the work location. Paid leave is provided at a rate of 25 days per year, along with rest and recuperation days based on time spent in Gaza. The position is unaccompanied, and housing will be provided collectively by the organization. If the selected candidate is a resident of the country, a local package will be offered.
