Job Overview: The Logistic Coordinator plays a crucial role in implementing logistics responsibilities within the designated area, focusing on procurement and various logistics-related activities. This position involves managing warehouse operations, fleet management, distribution, and asset management. The Logistic Coordinator is expected to ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines, and donor requirements while coordinating operational planning and logistics activities. The role requires the individual to conduct market assessments, prepare reports, and support line managers in logistics-related training. The Logistic Coordinator will also oversee the logistics team, ensuring effective performance management and recruitment, while maintaining a focus on anti-corruption, transparency, and cost efficiency in all processes. Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistic Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: ensuring adherence to NRC policies and guidelines; implementing logistics systems and procedures at the area level; coordinating timely operational planning and management of logistics activities; conducting periodic checks to ensure local SOPs are followed; preparing and submitting reports and analyses; maintaining proper filing of support documents; supporting line managers with logistics training; managing the logistics team, including recruitment and performance management; providing technical guidance and training to logistics staff; maintaining pipeline planning and ensuring adequate warehouse space and transportation resources; overseeing procurement and warehouse staff; leading procurement and warehouse activities; ensuring efficient fleet management; managing assets in accordance with NRC policy; providing regular logistics reports; and representing NRC with external parties such as suppliers and partners.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working as a Logistic Coordinator in a humanitarian or recovery context. Previous experience in complex and volatile environments is essential. Applicants should have documented results related to the responsibilities of the position and possess knowledge of their own leadership skills and profile. Fluency in both Arabic and English, both written and verbal, is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should have knowledge and experience with main donors' logistics policies and logistics management in the Middle East, particularly in Palestine and Israel.
Educational Background: A university degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant field is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the Logistic Coordinator has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage logistics operations and contribute to the organization's mission.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have a solid level of experience, specifically 3 to 5 years in logistics coordination within humanitarian or recovery contexts.
