Job Overview: The Awards, Partnership and Grants Writing Manager will play a crucial role in supporting Relief International's program development efforts in Palestine. This position is responsible for identifying new funding opportunities, developing partnerships with peer organizations, writing concept notes and proposals, and assisting the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director in maintaining donor relationships to secure funding for new programs. The role requires collaboration with program teams and partners to ensure compliance with donor requirements and internal policies, contributing to the successful implementation of funded projects. The position is open to both national and international candidates, with fluency in Arabic being highly desirable for international applicants. The manager will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality program development and effective communication across departments.
Duties and Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the Awards, Partnership and Grants Writing Manager include:
Collaborating with Country Office Teams to ensure high-quality program development in coordination with relevant departments.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including donors and NGOs, to support programmatic and budgetary monitoring and compliance.
Addressing compliance challenges and adapting to changing donor regulations to ensure successful grant implementation.
Driving key Awards Management processes within the country program and mentoring staff on donor compliance and best practices.
Searching for new funding opportunities and maintaining an in-country donor engagement tracker.
Leading partnership and consortium development and ensuring new programs are designed based on evidence and theories of change.
Writing concept notes and proposals in consultation with the country office team and ensuring timely submission of donor reports.
Providing expert guidance on donor and RI regulations and leading monthly grant management meetings.
Ensuring partners are trained on RI’s policies and conducting capacity assessments. 1
Supporting ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor and promoting RI’s values and safeguarding policies.
Required Qualifications: The essential qualifications for this position include:
A Master’s degree in International Development or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
At least five years of experience working with an international NGO, with a minimum of three years in program/proposal/business development.
Experience with funding from EU, US Government, and UN Agencies.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic, with Arabic being highly desirable for international candidates.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong computer skills.
Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple teams.
Educational Background: Candidates are expected to have a Master’s degree in International Development or a related field, although this is not strictly required. A strong educational background in relevant disciplines will be beneficial for understanding the complexities of program development and grant management.
Experience: The position requires at least five years of experience working with an international NGO, with a specific focus on program/proposal/business development for a minimum of three years. Candidates should have experience with various funding sources, including EU, US Government, and UN Agencies, and demonstrate the ability to manage complex activities and meet deadlines effectively.
