Job Overview:
The Programme Associate - Cooperating Partners Management (CPM) position is crucial for supporting WFP's policy and program activities aimed at effectively meeting food assistance needs. The incumbent will work closely with various units to ensure compliance with WFP's policies and guidelines. This role involves managing activities related to Cooperating Partners (CP), including implementing due diligence activities, analyzing budgets, and strengthening the capacity of both CPs and WFP staff. The Programme Associate will play a key role in ensuring that WFP's operations align with its mission and objectives, contributing to the overall effectiveness of food assistance programs. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to coordinate efforts across different teams to achieve common goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical support and assisting in the development and implementation of activities related to Cooperating Partners management. This includes specialized project management support to ensure that activities are performed within established targets and in accordance with WFP's policies. The Programme Associate will prepare reports and conduct data analysis related to Cooperating Partners Management, ensuring adherence to corporate standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, coordinating the development of Field Level Agreements, tracking recommendations from performance reviews, overseeing the work of support staff, and acting as a point of contact for operational queries. The role requires maintaining effective relationships with WFP and CP colleagues, supporting capacity building for NGOs, and ensuring preparedness for emergency responses.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary school education, with a post-secondary certificate in relevant fields such as International Affairs, Law, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Policy, or Management being desirable. The position requires a strong understanding of program implementation and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate technical knowledge in Cooperating Partners Management and have experience working with NGOs, UN Agencies, and government entities. Proficiency in office software and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals are essential.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include a completion of secondary school education, with a preference for candidates who have obtained a post-secondary certificate in disciplines relevant to international development or humanitarian assistance. Experience:
Candidates should possess six or more years of progressively responsible work experience in program implementation. Languages:

Additional Notes:
This position is a Service Contract (SC) at Grade Level 6, based in Gaza, Palestine, with a duration of 12 months. The role is specifically open to Palestinian nationals residing in Gaza. The remuneration for this position is based on the SC salary scale, and the contract may include health coverage under CIGNA with co-cost sharing. The contract is subject to renewal based on WFP's needs, staff performance, and availability of funds. Employees are entitled to annual leave of 2.5 days per month and sick leave of 2 days per month. It is important to note that remuneration under the SC is not exempt from national or local taxation. Candidates must have a valid visa or permit to live and work in Palestine to be eligible for this position.
