Job Overview: The Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Dimension (HD) of the OSCE's mission in the country. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Project Co-ordinator include:
Contributing to the conceptualization, organization, monitoring, and evaluation of projects related to the Human Dimension in Uzbekistan, in collaboration with government counterparts.
Monitoring and coordinating the implementation of projects and activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, tracking budget utilization, and verifying the quality and timeliness of reports from implementing partners and consultants.
Assessing project needs and constraints, suggesting measures to expedite implementation and enhance effectiveness.
Maintaining regular correspondence and working relationships with government officials, state institutions, international and national NGOs, diplomatic missions, and other OSCE institutions.
Coordinating and collaborating with other OSCE executive structures to implement HD activities in Uzbekistan and the broader OSCE region.
Attending seminars, round tables, and other events organized by state institutions, civil society organizations, and partner organizations, and preparing relevant memos.
Monitoring media coverage and reports from government, civil society, and international organizations to identify developments relevant to the HD and providing summaries or inputs for internal use.
Gathering contributions for the monthly Roadmap report to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the PCUz’s Monthly Activity Report, and other ad hoc reports.
Contributing to briefings, drafting talking points and speeches for senior officials, and preparing press releases and news items related to the HD's work. 1

Required Qualifications: The necessary qualifications for the Project Co-ordinator position include:
Completed secondary education; relevant specialized training in project management or administration is desirable.
For posts in the General Service category, a university degree may be considered as a substitute for one year of work experience, and a second-level university degree for two years of work experience.
A minimum of six years of work experience in project management or administration.
Experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Experience working with NGOs, governmental institutions, or international organizations is an asset.
Ability to conduct research and collect information from various sources.
Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.
Ability and willingness to work as a team member with individuals from diverse cultural, religious, and political backgrounds while maintaining impartiality and objectivity.

In exceptional cases, an initial appointment at up to Step 3 may be considered based on relevant experience or higher previous remuneration. Candidates should be aware that the OSCE does not reimburse expenses related to interviews, tests, visas, or relocation. Appointments are subject to medical clearance, and the mandatory retirement age for contracted positions is 65 years.
