Job Overview: The Communications Associate position at WFP involves supporting the development, preparation, execution, and dissemination of communication campaigns targeted at various audiences. The role requires the incumbent to conduct research, suggest ideas, and provide coordination support for multimedia projects, including video, photography, and radio. The Communications Associate will manage the storage and distribution of audio/visual materials, ensuring compliance with relevant policies. Additionally, the role includes generating donor-specific visibility content and serving as an information focal point for media coverage of WFP events. The incumbent will also monitor media channels, prepare content for various platforms, and maintain relationships with stakeholders to enhance communication effectiveness. This position is crucial for optimizing the visibility of WFP’s activities and ensuring that communication strategies align with corporate messages and donor conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Communications Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Performing specialized communications processes to support staff in developing and executing campaigns.
Conducting research and providing coordination support for multimedia projects.

Required Qualifications: The position requires the following qualifications:

Six years of relevant work experience in communications is required.

Additional Notes: The position is a Service Contract (SC) at Level SC L6, with a contract duration of 12 months from the effective date of employment. The duty station is Kathmandu, Nepal.
