Interns will assist in preparing analytical reports, background notes, and key messages, as well as supporting meetings and events for senior officials. Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for providing policy analysis for the delivery of the SDGs, collaborating across various areas of work within the SDU. They will help monitor, identify, and analyze global trends related to sustainable development, focusing on specific thematic tracks. Interns will support the preparation of analytical reports, papers, and daily briefs, as well as assist in organizing meetings, events, and visits for senior officials. Specific duties may include conducting research, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of strategies and initiatives related to sustainable development. Interns will also be expected to engage with stakeholders and contribute to discussions on key issues affecting global development.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: 1) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent such as a Master's degree or higher, Ph.D. or post-graduate degree). 2) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent). No prior work experience is required, but candidates should possess skills and knowledge that will benefit the UN during their internship. Strong analytical, research, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
Educational Background: Candidates must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme or the final year of a first university degree programme. This includes individuals pursuing or holding a Master's degree, Ph.D., or equivalent qualifications. The educational background should be relevant to the fields of sustainable development, international relations, public policy, or related disciplines, equipping candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the UN's mission.
Experience: No prior work experience is required for this internship position.
