Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the IC-Invertebrate zoologist national expert include but are not limited to: conducting thorough research on invertebrate species and their habitats; preparing detailed reports and reference tables that align with Birds and Habitats Directives; collaborating with local and international experts to gather data and insights; providing recommendations for habitat management and conservation practices; engaging with stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of invertebrate ecology; ensuring compliance with national and international environmental regulations; and participating in workshops and training sessions to disseminate knowledge and best practices.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in zoology, specifically in invertebrate species. A proven track record of research and practical experience in habitat preparation and management is essential. Familiarity with Birds and Habitats Directives is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and strong communication skills to effectively convey complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master's degree in Zoology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in invertebrate zoology or conservation biology will be considered an asset. Experience: The position requires at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in invertebrate zoology or a closely related field.
