Job Overview:
The ICT Assistant role is crucial for supporting the North Area Office operations by delivering efficient ICT services and effective data management. This position is focused on providing ICT support under the supervision of the Support Manager, ensuring that NRC's activities in the North are implemented successfully. The ICT Assistant will be responsible for adhering to NRC's ICT policies, protection mainstreaming standards, and donor requirements. The role requires the ability to coordinate multiple ICT support tasks, plan and reprioritize workload based on operational needs, and respond to unexpected ICT issues. The ICT Assistant will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">information security requirements and data privacy standards, while providing timely and high-quality ICT hardware, software, and services to the country program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The ICT Assistant will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: adhering to NRC policies and procedures, providing information and support to staff, delivering ICT hardware and software, ensuring compliance with information security and data privacy standards, testing new equipment and applications, identifying problems and errors, planning and organizing workload, coordinating with colleagues across different locations, identifying recurring ICT challenges, installing and maintaining operating systems and software, providing routine support for Windows issues, maintaining internet and network connectivity, tracking ICT assets, setting up and troubleshooting printers, preparing laptops for new employees, ensuring licensing compliance, collaborating with logistics for ICT asset management, supporting procurement processes, escalating complex issues, contributing to short-term ICT support planning, ensuring proper filing of documents, providing technical support to the M&E team, and performing any other related tasks as requested by the line manager.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, CCE, or a relevant computer domain. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in Information Technology. Proficiency in both Arabic and English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate good cultural awareness and sensitivity, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, CCE, or a related field. This educational background is essential for understanding the technical aspects of the role and for effectively managing ICT services and support.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Information Technology. This experience should include hands-on work with ICT systems, support, and data management, particularly in challenging environments. Previous experience in humanitarian or development contexts is highly valued.

Languages:
Proficiency in both Arabic and English is mandatory for this position, as effective communication with staff and stakeholders is crucial. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.
