Job Overview: The Community-Based Facilitator position is a crucial role within the Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project, specifically designed to support the implementation of project activities in refugee settlements. The facilitator will be responsible for mobilizing beneficiaries, supporting Farmer Field Schools, and providing coaching to ensure the effective delivery of climate-smart agriculture practices. Duties and Responsibilities: The Community-Based Facilitator will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including: mobilizing beneficiaries for various project activities such as trainings and demonstrations; supporting the rollout of Farmer Field Schools and Institutional Development sessions; conducting routine follow-up visits to reinforce climate-smart practices; assisting in the establishment of demonstration plots; collecting data using approved tools; coordinating e-voucher input distribution; facilitating nutrition education sessions; promoting inclusion of marginalized groups; supporting environmental awareness initiatives; participating in supervision visits and meetings; and reporting field challenges to technical officers. These duties require strong community engagement skills and a commitment to promoting sustainable practices.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in community mobilization, extension support, or related fields. They should have experience working in refugee settlements or rural community development programs, as well as a basic understanding of agriculture, livestock, or sustainable land management practices.
