Job Overview: The position involves consulting for the development of a Digital Asset Management Policy for the Justice 4.0 Program. The position is expected to last for a period of 325 days, during which the consultant will engage in research, analysis, and collaboration with relevant parties to develop a comprehensive and effective policy.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Conducting a thorough assessment of the current state of digital asset management within the Justice 4.0 Program.
Developing a comprehensive Digital Asset Management Policy that addresses the specific needs and challenges faced by the program.
Collaborating with stakeholders to gather input and feedback on the policy draft.
Providing training and support to staff on the implementation of the new policy.
Monitoring the progress of the policy implementation and making adjustments as necessary.
Preparing reports and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to UNDP and other stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding digital asset management.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree (either lato sensu or stricto sensu) in fields such as Archival Science, Library Science, Law, Knowledge Management, Project Management, International Relations, Information Technology, Digital Transformation, or related areas. Alternatively, a completed undergraduate degree in Archival Science, Library Science, or related fields is acceptable, provided the candidate has an additional four years of relevant professional experience. Furthermore, candidates must demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional experience in document management activities within public, private, or third sector institutions. Proficiency in Office 365 tools, particularly SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, and Word, is also required.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a postgraduate degree in relevant fields such as Archival Science, Library Science, Law, Knowledge Management, Project Management, International Relations, Information Technology, Digital Transformation, or closely related areas. If the candidate holds only an undergraduate degree in Archival Science, Library Science, or related fields, they must have at least four additional years of professional experience in document management to qualify for the position.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of professional experience in document management activities. This experience should be within public institutions, private organizations, or the third sector. The role demands a solid understanding of archival practices and the ability to manage digital assets effectively. Experience in developing policies or frameworks related to digital asset management will be considered an asset.
