Job Overview: The Program Lead for Geoanalytics will play a pivotal role within WRI India’s Food, Land and Water program, which focuses on transitioning India towards sustainable and resilient food and land use systems. This position involves leading and managing data-driven analyses across core areas such as sustainable agriculture, landscape restoration, and food loss and waste. The Program Lead will leverage data and technical expertise to inform decision-making and design solutions that promote sustainable practices. A significant aspect of the role includes developing an online digital infrastructure for decision support related to nature-based solutions and food systems. The Program Lead will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to provide analytical expertise and customized visualization insights, utilizing spatial modeling tools and methods to transform data into actionable insights that support sustainable food and land use systems.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Program Lead include leading technology and product development for online platforms and tools that inform decision-making for nature-based solutions. This involves enhancing analytical offerings by conducting innovative analyses using remote sensing and multi-sectoral datasets, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to develop product vision and strategy, and contributing to written outputs such as working papers and technical notes. Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a post-graduation degree in Geography, Earth Sciences, Geomatics, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, or related fields. Preferred qualifications include experience in designing data-led solutions for the land sector and natural resource management planning. Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal, are essential, along with program management experience. Candidates should have 10 to 12+ years of relevant work experience in the Geospatial industry, with expertise in leading teams to deliver analytical solutions.
