The role requires screening inquiries from potential collaborators and facilitating communication with relevant UNICEF staff. The specialist will also scan the external environment for opportunities and risks, share timely information with UNICEF staff, identify potential corporate and brand partners, map high-growth industries, and track trends in cause marketing and consumer giving. Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in international relations, political science, communications, international development, or a relevant technical field. A minimum of five years of professional experience in public affairs, programme management, resource mobilization, external relations, or related areas is required. Desirable qualifications include experience in corporate partnerships, cause marketing, fundraising, or brand alliances, preferably within a non-profit or social impact organization. Relevant experience at the country level, particularly in development or humanitarian contexts, is also advantageous.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree is required in fields such as international relations, political science, communications, international development, or another relevant technical field. Candidates must have their educational qualifications recognized by the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
Experience: The position requires a minimum of five years of professional experience in relevant fields such as public affairs, programme management, resource mobilization, or external relations. Experience in corporate partnerships and fundraising is highly desirable, particularly in contexts that involve development or humanitarian work.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for the role.
Additional Notes: This position is based in New Delhi, India, and is open to all Indian nationals and internal candidates with a valid work permit for India. The selected applicant will receive an initial one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance.
