Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance and Administrative Coordinator will undertake a comprehensive set of duties, including but not limited to:
Project Logistical Coordination: Provide logistical support for project activities, including drafting and monitoring project subcontracts for complex divisional projects.
Accounting Support: Prepare travel and field expense reports, file and monitor project budgets, and manage collaborator and donor-approved budget expenditures.
Invoice Management: Submit and monitor collaborator invoices, ensuring timely processing and follow-up on payments.
Database Maintenance: Maintain various administrative and unit databases, including collaborator and project lists, and monitor project timelines and deliverables.
Financial Reporting: Prepare periodic financial reports and invoices for donors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
Data Entry: Perform data entry in Tally and assist in the finalization of accounts books according to Indian accounting standards.
Audit Assistance: Support the annual statutory audit process and assist in budget preparation for proposals and projects.
Additional Duties: Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by project leaders or management, contributing to the overall success of the unit's objectives.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for the Finance and Administrative Coordinator I position, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance along with two years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree with five years of relevant experience. For the Finance and Administrative Coordinator II position, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with five years of relevant experience is required, or an associate’s degree with seven years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates who are intermediate or pursuing CA/CS/CWA qualifications. Knowledge of Tally software is preferred, and candidates must demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
