Job Overview: The Consultant Partnership position at WFP is designed to support the organization's strategic objectives by identifying, developing, and strengthening partnerships that align with WFP's mission. The consultant will be responsible for engaging with various functional units to create tailored content that resonates with different audiences, thereby enhancing WFP's visibility and effectiveness in donor reporting and partnership management. This role is crucial for ensuring that WFP can effectively communicate its operations and needs to both internal stakeholders and external partners, facilitating informed decision-making and fostering collaboration across the organization. The consultant will also play a key role in preparing quality materials for corporate dialogues with partners and supporting the development of strategic agreements and proposals that align with WFP's goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement the work plan for assigned areas to identify and strengthen quality partnerships in support of WFP's strategic objectives.
Collaborate with other functional units to develop content that aligns with ongoing policy dialogues and partner engagement strategies.
Support the management of a diverse partnerships portfolio, including partner profiling and outreach plans.
Ensure visibility for partners and compliance with partnership conditions.
Prepare quality briefing materials for corporate dialogues with partners, highlighting strategic opportunities.
Gather and analyze partner intelligence using key information systems to assess results.
Assist in partnership/contribution management in line with corporate norms and legal agreements.
Contribute to the preparation of partnership proposals and strategic agreements, ensuring quality control of content.
Explore opportunities for partnership growth and expansion based on assessments and analysis. 1
Support the development of partnerships with member states and civil society to advocate for the SDGs and Zero Hunger. 1
Utilize socio-political insights to influence policy agendas effectively. 1
Incorporate gender perspectives in all areas of work to ensure equal participation. 1

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, International Relations, Law, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Alternatively, a first university degree with additional years of relevant work experience and/or training may be acceptable. Candidates should have a minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in partnership roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of partnership dynamics and strategies.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree in a relevant field is required, such as Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, International Relations, Law, Marketing, or Communications. A first university degree combined with additional relevant experience may also be considered sufficient for this role.
Experience: A minimum of six years of relevant professional work experience in partnership roles is required. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in managing partnerships, developing strategic proposals, and engaging with diverse stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.
Languages: Fluency in English (level C) is mandatory, while intermediate knowledge of French (level B) is considered advantageous for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may also be beneficial.
Additional Notes: This position is a Regular Consultant role based in N'Djamena, Chad, with a contract duration of 11 months.
