Job Overview: The LogisticsCoordinator is responsible for steering the logistical activities of the mission to ensure that SI's in-country programs operate smoothly. This role involves implementing SI's mission procedures and logistical tools, ensuring compliance and proper usage. The Logistics Coordinator participates in defining the mission strategy, drawing up projects, and assessing the resources necessary for implementing activities. Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Coordinator's duties include managing the procurement process, ensuring timely management of purchase files, implementing logistics tools such as KOSTANGO and KPIs, supporting orders and deliveries from Chad to Sudan, and defining strategies to limit emergency procedures. The Coordinator must also navigate security constraints, particularly when visiting bases in Sudan, and work to improve the quality of procurement processes while adapting to the volatility of local markets. The role requires strong coordination with various departments, including finance, HR, compliance, and security, to ensure effective logistical support for the mission's activities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field such as Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation Management. Additionally, they should have 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar role, particularly within the humanitarian sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing logistics in emergency situations, team management experience, and the ability to handle significant procurement volumes and infrastructure management.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to manage logistics effectively in challenging environments.
Experience: The position requires 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in logistics management, particularly in emergency and unstable situations.
