Job Overview:
The Business Innovation Consultant position at WFP is a critical role aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and supporting financial transformation projects within the organization. This position is designed for individuals who possess strong analytical skills and have a background in consulting or finance. The consultant will be responsible for conducting data analysis, managing change, and providing strategic support across WFP and other UN entities. The role is remote and is expected to last for three months, during which the consultant will engage in various projects that contribute to the overall mission of WFP. The consultant will work closely with different teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions that align with WFP's goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be tasked with executing Business Innovation projects that focus on enhancing operational efficiency and facilitating financial transformation within the Country Office. Responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, analyzing current processes to identify optimization opportunities, and reviewing external spending to uncover potential cost reductions. The consultant will also evaluate financial patterns and present comprehensive diagnostics regarding financial viability. Additional responsibilities include providing analytical and project management support, participating in discussions with team members to align on objectives, and supporting knowledge management reviews to share best practices. The consultant may also be required to assist with other divisional needs as they arise.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in business, economics, or engineering, with a preference for those who have a strong foundation in these fields. The role requires approximately two years of progressively responsible experience in a business or international relations-related position, with a specific focus on change management, management consulting, or finance. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop new strategies and innovative projects, possess strong analytical skills, and have experience with optimization processes. A collaborative spirit and excellent time management skills are essential, as the consultant will need to work effectively with diverse teams and manage competing priorities.

Educational Background:
A degree in business, economics, or engineering is preferred for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of operational efficiency and financial transformation within a large organization like WFP. Candidates with advanced degrees or specialized training in relevant fields may also be considered favorably, as they may bring additional insights and expertise to the role.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least two years of relevant experience in a business or international relations context. This experience should include a focus on change management, management consulting, or finance, demonstrating a track record of progressively responsible roles. Candidates with additional work experience in related fields will be viewed positively, as this may enhance their ability to contribute effectively to the projects undertaken by WFP.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of French is strongly desirable, as it will facilitate communication and collaboration within the diverse teams at WFP and with other UN entities.
