Job Overview: The Social Senior Analyst position at UNOPS Myanmar involves supporting two critical projects: the Myanmar Health and Nutrition Support Project (HANS) and the Myanmar Strengthening Community Resilience Project (SCORE). The HANS project focuses on delivering essential health and nutrition services to vulnerable populations, particularly women and children, through partnerships with NGOs and community organizations. Duties and Responsibilities: The Social Senior Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including analyzing E&S instruments such as the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) and Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP). The analyst will provide actionable insights to refine project E&S approaches, ensuring alignment with the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework. Responsibilities include advising on the integration of social standards into project activities, engaging with stakeholders to adopt best practices, monitoring the effectiveness of E&S standards, preparing comprehensive reports for donors, and leading the development and implementation of the GRM. The analyst will also conduct training sessions on social standards for project personnel and stakeholders, document lessons learned, and ensure continuous improvement of project practices based on feedback and observations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's) in Social Science, Anthropology, Sociology, Development Studies, Community Development, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree in these areas, combined with two years of relevant experience, may be accepted. A minimum of two years of professional experience in social safeguards and sustainability is required for those with a Master's degree, or four years for those with a first-level degree. Experience with the World Bank, UN agencies, or NGOs is highly valued, along with knowledge of environmental safeguards compliance and UN systems for social safeguards. Proficiency in computer software, particularly MS Office and Google Suite, is essential.

A first-level university degree in these areas, along with two additional years of experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
