Job Overview: The Health Safety and Security Technical Assistant (HSS TA) plays a crucial role in supporting the Health Safety and SecurityCoordinator (HSS C) in executing all HSS-related tasks at the Southern Area Office (AO) and Field Offices (FO). The HSS TA is responsible for ensuring that all NRC staff in the Kherson Field Office have the necessary access and support for HSS-related documentation. This role involves a combination of generic and specific responsibilities aimed at enhancing the safety and security of NRC operations in the region. The HSS TA will assist in the production of various HSS documents, manage HSS-related skills development among NRC staff, and ensure compliance with NRC policies and procedures. The position requires a proactive approach to risk assessment and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: The HSS TA will engage in a variety of duties, including but not limited to: assisting in the production of HSS-related documents for the Field Office and Area Office, managing and developing HSS skills among NRC staff, producing Security Risk Assessments, and preparing necessary reports. The HSS TA will also provide transportation services, conduct physical verifications of HSS equipment, and support the AO and FO during high operational intensity. Specific responsibilities include producing weekly and daily security reports, controlling and inspecting HSS equipment, participating in training staff on HSS topics, and managing movements and transportation for NRC staff. The HSS TA will also be responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicles in proper operating condition and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 1 year of work experience in an HSS-related position and hold a valid driving license. The ability to liaise with law enforcement, military organizations, and local administrations is essential. Fluency in English, Ukrainian, and Russian, both written and verbal, is mandatory.
